Steve's Metal Detecting Page

or Zen and the Art of Metal Detecting

Welcome to Steve Herschbach's Metal Detecting Page! I have been metal detecting for over 35 years, and I have no doubt I will be swinging a detector for as long as I am physically able. It is not the items I find that keep me detecting. I enjoy detecting as my reason for getting out and being active and visiting new places. But more than anything it is the mental relaxation I derive from getting out with my detector. When I am totally "in the zone" metal detecting becomes a form of meditation - Zen and the Art of Metal Detecting!
